Who we are

The Gatekeepers is a private matchmaking service in Switzerland, operated by Stalder - The Gatekeepers (UID CHE-320.998.947), Geneva, Switzerland, which is responsible for your data. We process your data in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

The data we process

• Your Telegram ID and username.
• The information in your application (for example name, age, email address, canton, occupation, expectations).
• Your answers to the Matching Interview.
• Messages exchanged in a Match Room.
• The payment details needed to track transactions. Card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored by us.

Why we use it

Only to review your application, propose pairings, run the Match Room, process payments and keep the service safe. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

The Gatekeepers team, as far as needed. When you are matched, only the relevant information is shared with the other person. Our technical providers: Telegram (messaging), Stripe (payments) and our hosting provider in Switzerland.

This website uses no cookies. Audience measurement uses Plausible, without cookies and without personal data.

Retention and your rights

We keep your data while your application or account is active, and then for as long as the law requires. You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data by writing to contact@thegatekeepers.ch or to us on Telegram.
